Biography

Early Life & Education

Born in Kafr El Sheikh, a city to the North of Cairo, Egypt, Sh. Zaghloul memorized the Quran at a young age. He obtained Islamic studies from the prestigious Al-Azhar University in Egypt, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Usul-Al-Deen and Dawah in 1985.

Journey to Memphis

He moved to the United States in 1995 to Memphis, TN, where he served briefly as the Imam of Masjid As-Salam. He was an integral part of establishing Masjid Al-Noor by the University of Memphis in 1997, where he served and continues to serve as the Imam for the masjid and the community.

Community Leadership

Sheikh Zaghloul has been a vital part of the expansion of the Islamic Association of Greater Memphis and the establishment of Masjid Ar-Rahman in the suburbs of the city.

He is a well-respected Imam in the Greater Memphis Muslim Community and is often referred to as "the senior Imam" for serving the community for nearly 25 years. He is also a father of three young talented boys.
